The only drawback is that you have to sign a new contract with AT&T. On the other hand, it doesn’t have to be a premium rate plan like the one they require when you get the Iphone. Also, chances are, AT&T is going to increase their text messaging rates once again (sooner than 2 years from now) anyway and then you have the right to cancel your contract without having to pay an early termination fee.

is the LG VUE Free if you due for an existing AT&T customer that is due for an upgrade with 2 years contract or is it just for new customer AT & T Customer? thanks you

No, it isn’t. The free offer is just for new customers. With a contract extension, it costs more.
There’s actually a link you can click on. It’s close to the top of the offer page on the Wirefly website.
It says:
“Do you have an account with AT&T already? Get this phone with a contract extension.”
I clicked on it and the price went up to $99.
