Miles by Discover - 12kMiles/$120GC, Double Miles on Travel/Restaurants, No Annual Fee, No Blackouts
If you’re looking for a travel rewards credit card, you may be interested in Miles by Discover.
The Miles by Discover card does not require you to pay annual fees or impose all kinds of restrictions (e.g. choice of airline, blackout dates, miles expiration, etc.) as airline-branded cards generally do.
You get 12,000 bonus miles in your first year. Plus, you’ll keep earning miles by using your credit card for everyday purchases. Redeeming your miles toward airfare is easy. Just use your Discover card to pay for your tickets and then have your miles applied toward your credit card balance. You don’t need to make any prior arrangements. There are no restrictions on your choice of airline or travel dates. For every 5000 miles, you get $50 travel credit. So 12,000 miles is worth $120. If you prefer, you can use your miles to get a $120 gift card instead. (There are many store gift cards to choose from.) Lastly, there’s also an option to get cash instead, but you get less bang for your miles - just $25 for every 5000 miles.
Here’s a summary of what you get:
* 12, 000 Bonus Miles (1,000 Miles each month you make a purchase the first year):
* 0% Intro APR on Balance Transfers and Purchases for 6 Months
